Alongside a selfie, this image also has an image of one of my family's dogs, Ginger (who passed away earlier this year) as well as a picture from Columbus, Ohio and a couple pictures I took while in Uganda this past summer. I was mostly going for more of a nature theme with this image, though the inclusion of the Columbus cityscape was added in to add a bit of variety and is possibly the only image I did not put much thought into choosing.
I'd say it's the picture of Ginger that I can probably say the most about. While it was one of many we took, I'd say it shows her personality the most. She was a very calm and laid-back dog during the twilight of her life, and she didn't react as much to a lot of things going on around her.
A potential theme of this photo, I'd say, is the idea of beauty coming in different forms. While the photos from Uganda (one of an Elephant and one of a quiet stream) show a bit more of a conventional beauty in nature, the photos of myself, Ginger, and the one in Columbus show less conventional forms such as Ginger just lying down and relaxing.
